Thank you for reaching us here with your concerns. May I know how did you narrow this down to AVG? Did you try to temporarily disable AVG protection and check if that resolves the issue? If you have not, please right click on AVG system tray icon and toggle the On/Off slider to disable it. If the issue is resolved upon disabling AVG, please check if AVG firewall is configured with below recommended settings or not.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Network Profile and change it to Private.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Policies->System Rules and set all rules to "Enabled".
Make sure the above settings are applied and let us know if the issue persist.
Since installing AVG, I can't use my external hard drive. My PC recognizes it and it is shown in My Devices but not in This PC therefore I can't open the files on the drive. Anyone have any ideas?
