Extreme high CPU usage during Scan!

Hello Freddy,

Hello,
thanks for replying. The suggested solution solved the issue partially.

I did everything as suggested but during entire PC scans the "AVG Scanning Core Module" task still takes up a lot of CPU a few times during the scan.

It's not as long and as loud as before but all in all I'd say the CPU is at 87-99% for 10 seconds during the scan.

Is this on purpose and normal during AVG scans or is there a deeper issue with my PC or AVG product?

Hello AVG community,

every time I run a scan on the entire PC with my AVG Ultimate Internet Security 2015 the CPU usage goes up extremely high. It's always in the range of 87 - 99%.
Task-Manager shows that the task "AVG - Scanning Core Module" is using all this CPU.

The extreme CPU usage makes the fans and water cooling of my PC rotate on extreme speed.

I can't run a full scan because I fear to seriously damage my PC with such a high CPU usage.
I asked this question here before and was told to change the scan settings to "Dynamic Scan" but this did not help at all.

Can you help me with this problem?
Thanks.

Freddy,
We appreciate all the efforts you have gone through. Please do not worry, it is normal to get your CPU usage as high at the time of whole scan, our AVG program will scan all the files and folders stored on your device where CPU may get different ranges. Also, we would suggest to avoid multitasking at the time of whole scan, if we do more process while scanning is under progress, it may lead to high CPU usage for particular time. Than you.
