Hello Edward. Could you able to login to Facebook after making those scans? If not please try to login to the Facebook using different web browsers. Thank you.
No, I am using the paid version of AVG Antivirus. It is up-to-date and I download updates daily.

Was blocked from logging into Facebook by a security alert so I ran a complete scan with AVG. No threats were found. I still couldn't log in so I downloaded the ESET scan being suggested by Facebook.
It returned the following report which suggests that there were at least potentially troublesome files that AVG missed. I don't know enough about the reported files to know how much of a threat they were, but it was judged sufficiently problematic that I couldn't log into Facebook.
