@David, be careful… because the "hotfix" solved the "total connection loss" bug, but… the slow-browsing is still there.
Hello David,
We have recently experienced website access and Internet connectivity after the AVG Anti-track update.
Our developer team already released hotfix for this issue. So, we request you to update AVG Anti-track once and restart the PC and check whether everything is working fine.
Keep us updated. Thank you.
I have this problem:
1. When I go onto Facebook the site immediately freezes. If I try to view another web site I get the message: “This page can't be reached". I’m also prevented from sending an email.
2. To clear the problem, I restart my PC but during the close down process I get the message:
Closing 1 app and restarting. To go back and save your work click Cancel and finish what you need to.(Small icon) Privacy Filter This app is preventing you from restarting
(Button) Restart anyway (Button) Cancel
3. It’s a long wait for this app to close so I normally just click on the “Restart anyway” button.
4. When the PC restarts, I can browse any web site without any problem. It is only the Facebook web site that causes this problem
5. In my house there are two other Windows 10 computers and neither of these has any problem caused by opening Facebook.
My ISP is Virgin Media. My PC runs Windows 10 and has a Ryzen 5 processor. The AVG software installed on my PC is:
• AVG Internet Security
• AVG Breach Guard
• AVG AntiTrack
• AVG TuneUP
• AVG Secure VPN (but I don't use the VPN because it slows down web surfing too much)
Can anyone please suggest as a cure for this problem?
