Failed install after licence not found message

Do you get as Description: event exec finished along with this error code 0XC0070643?

Hi Avinash, thanks for your support. I had to stop working on the issue yesterday so I shut the PC down. When I started it again this evening to continue with the problem AVG had started working correctly again. Perhaps I should have just tried an old fashioned reboot straight away then I might not have had to trouble you in support. I have run a scan & it has returned zero issues so hopefully there is no underlying problem. If it reoccurs then I will contact you again. I suppose the call log number can be closed.

Hi, I recieved a message that my licence could not be found & that I would have to re-install AVG free. I have attempted to do this 3 times now & it fails at 98%. I have this error code - 0xc0070643 showing on the screen. Can anyone help.

Hi, No, I have had AVG only on this PC (Vista circa 2007) since new. The full message on AVG Zen is "Sorry. An unknown issue has prevented internet security from installing. Please give it another try, and if the issue persists, contact our friendly support team and give them this error code : 0xc0070643"

If you don't get this "Description: event exec finished" message along with this error code 0xC0070643 then definitely there should be another antivirus program installed on your PC. Could you please check again for any other antivirus program installed on your PC or confirm that you don't get this "Description: event exec finished" message for the AVG installation?
