I request you to follow the instructions as mentioned in this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Message-The-connection-with-update-server-has-failed and when you are on the window after following 6th step, please click on "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter the below mentioned value:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
Click on Ok and then proceed with the installation.

I have downloaded the AVG Internet Security but it fails on install.  It gives the message to connect to the internet during installation.  I was connected and still failed.  Any ideas on how to get it to load properly?
