My AVG 2015 has ceased updating.I'm running Windows 10 on a PC laptop. My last successful update was on 8th Dec.
Firstly, automatic updating seems to have ceased. My dashboard tells me that "Computer Update Required". It offers me a "Fix Now" option or a manual Update option, but both options lead me to a message: "We weren't able to fix one or more components", but doesn't say why or what action to take. A "Update Failed" message remains on my dashboard.
Following an FAQ suggestion (on the AVG website), I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall AVG 2015. However, the uninstall failed! I received the AVG message: "Sorry, we've experienced a problem during initialisation." Then: "Error code 0xE001003D Description: Event exec_finished".
Can anyone advise, please?

I downloaded Remover Tool successfully.
Didn’t ask to be ‘filed anywhere’.
Ran the Removal program. Seemed to work ok.
When removal complete – AVG Remover not found anywhere. Presume not filed, because I RAN it rather than SAVED it.
Established my system is 32 bit.
Downloaded AVG Free. Seemed to work ok.
My AVG now seems to be giving me complete cover and functionality!

I'm using AVG Free.
I don't recall using Remover Tool, but it is a possibility. But not since 8th Dec (which my log of events says was my last successful update). It was updating almost daily, successfully, before that.
