Just to confirm I have uninstalled & then reinstalled & it has cleared the problem of not being able to log in after AVG update.

Please note I'm using AVG Free Version 20.4.3125, all up to date
I am using Win 10 & have my computer to sleep after 45 minutes of inactivity.
On occasions, I think after AVG update, I am unable to log in.
I get the Microsoft picture on the screen but no Time/Date or the Microsoft password screen.
I have to switch off machine & then re start.
This always goes OK & I can log in .
Have you any ideas how to cure this situation?

If you experience the same, I suggest you to uninstall it and check if it resolves.
If yes, then reinstall it and check the same.
