Hello Geert,
We will check and help you to resolve it. Could you please share the screenshot (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot) of the AVG threat detection page? So, we can check and help you to fix it.

I recently had to warnings of AVG Internet Security saying that:
- wermgr.exe
- DeviceCensus.exe
were both threats because they were infected with IDP generic (or something like that).
However, when looking for information about those two exe's, it seems they're important Windows 10 executables that should be seen as safe exe's.
If so, why is AVG pointing to them as being threats and why are they put in quarantine?
This is extremely confusing. What to do now?
Thank you for submitting the false positive file for analysis, Geert.
You will receive an email reply for these cases.
We are also glad to know that no malware found when running a scan with AVG program.
Thank you.
As per the e-mail I received from the AVG Support, I uploaded the possibly false positive file DeviceCensus.exe for analysis. I also uploaded another possible false positive file: wermgr.exe.
It's strange to see that, when I run the AVG virusscanner individually on both files, it tells me there's no malware found!
Isn't that a contradictory result? At least very strange to me…
