I have been using AVG Internet Security for several years now, and a serious problem has developed. I am a software designer, and I am in the process of creating a new application. I have been designing and compiling this program for many months now. Suddenly I am getting a false generic virus warning:
There is no such virus in the program. As it is now I have to shut off AVG in order to even compile my program, and do my work. I cannot have the program running on my system in this circumstance.
Please advise.
Hello Tim,
We are sorry to know that. If you feel this is a false detection, we suggest you to add this program to AVG exception list http://avgclick.me/AddException and you can also send a sample of this file to AVG for analysis https://secure.avg.com/submit-sample.
Thank you
Tim,
If you are a developer of the program, please visit this webpage http://www.avg.com/us-en/whitelist .

I did, but that does not work because I recompile the program many times a day. Each time it is recompiled AVG identifies it as a different program.
