False pop-up windows from avg?

I certainly understand your issue.

It is a legitimate business campaign from AVG. Whenever you use AVG Free antivirus you will get this popup from AVG with an "UPDATE NOW" option it is not the regular program update. When you click on this you will get window which will give you options to continue with Free version try our 30 days trial version of advanced security program called as AVG Internet Security program. The main aim of this campaign is to create an awareness to customer to know about our advanced featured programs so that they can try the trial and make use of it and if they like it they can purchase the license for it or if they don't wish to continue with it they can downgrade from trial version to free version.

When I click on 'AVG Internet Security' so i can update the 'anti-vrus etc.' the window opens as usual to proceed with the update, however, i am receiving a pop-up window on top of this window informing me that my 'AVG Internet Security' has expired!!..infact according to my account my expiry date is; January 2016!!!
AVG do please advise???

Thank you for providing the information that you are using the paid version of AVG Internet Security. Yes, you will receive popup and the email notification regarding the expiry of the license of your AVG program. If you provide us the screenshot of the popup that you receive from AVG it will be easy for us to assist you further. I am not using the ‘AVG free anti-virus’ version, I am using the fully paid for  'AVG Internet Security'.
I don’t think fully paid up customers should warrant receiving such messages from AVG…perhaps an email informing customers that expiry of their licence will occur in the near future??
