While downloading an update to Adobe Flash from the official Adobe site, I got a pop-up warning from AVG…I chose the option to not allow, because I had allowed what I thought was a safe download of SpyBot from a free ware site that contained a browser redirect…Anyway, this resulted in 28 files having to do with Adobe Flash being quarantined in the virus vault… The udate of Adobe Flash was successful and seems to be working properly…I chose the "restore as" button in the vault and saved the files to my "desk top". I scanned each file with AVG and the results showed "NO Threat". I aIso chose the option to "submit for analysis"… have sent info to AVG's false positive reporting dept…I have not heard back from any of these inquiries…My main question is: should I choose the option to "restore" these files to make sure Adobe Flash will work properly?
Hi William,
If file is still detected it is most likely not false detection (they are usualy fixed within hours from reporting).
Thanks
