False positive on Acer bio protection (file and service)

Hi Dave, please refer this article to submit a False detection in AVG. http://bit.ly/1GgMyPc  Our technicians will analyze the sample and provide you the results. Thanks.

Yep, that's the one I used to submit, but I never received any indication that it actually WENT anywhere … just got back to the same page (filled in with my deatils) without the file being selected any more (it was selected, I did the puzzle, I waited, and came back to that page with no file selected. I would have expected at least an 'OK it has been sent' message at some point)

Just got a virus warning on a file, and associated service, on my vista acer laptop. The bio protection (fingerprint recognition) system has not been updated for 6 or 7 years, so I can only assume this is a false positive … anyone else seen the same thing? How do I submit the supposedly infected file for examination? I am using AVG free. file is BASVC.exe.

Hello Dave. I understand your concern and sorry that the page does not give you any acknowledgement. When you complete submitting the sample, the page will automatically refresh and go back to main page where you can submit another. But the first submission is successful. Thank you.

Dave, This link (http://www.avg.com/submit-sample) gives indication to a file you will be sending although please note that AVG do not answer back with results as the files are being checked automatically.
