Hello Kevin,
Please write back to us through your own post. So, we will check your account and help you to resolve it.
Also, please share the screenshot of the pop-up which you received from AVG. Keep us updated.
I am also receiving this with a simple page I normally had no problem accessing. The problem surfaced today.
Thank you for waiting, Ricardo.
This is indeed a secured threat.
It is something from within the web content on the page is infected (i.e. within web email, banner image, etc.)
Please try to uninstall and reinstall your browser and check the status.
Are you able to access other browser without any issues?
I am on a Windows 7 machine, running AVG Free and I continually receive a pop up "Threat Secured" message (URL: Phishing). It does not matter what site I am on, it appears randomly and often, about every 10 minutes. However, when I run a scan, AVG finds nothing. Ran Malware Bytes scan as well… nothing. Curiously, this only happens when I am on WiFi and not when I am plugged in with an Ethernet cable.
The URL listed is https://river3.https-site-not-available.info/ Obviously, this URL points to nothing.
Thoughts? Thank you!
System: Windows 10 home
Browser: FireFox 76.0.1 (64-bit)

Six month slater and there still seems to be no resolution to this problem. I have attached a screenshot. This is currently happening on two of my iMacs and one of my MacBook Pros. It happens on random websites inlcuding this one and Netflix. This is now driving me to the point of moving to another antivirus solution. Has anybody any solutions?
Also seeing a false positive on various pages of my website. Please fix this problem, which is on your end.
Hi, it occurs when I access my website http://heroesandgeeks.net/
Hi there,
I am having the attached screenshot pop up often and mostly when I open a new tab in Safari. Please can you investigate and let me know what I can do to prevent this pop up.
Same as Roy said
The first post on this thread for "False Positive URL Phishing" was March 10 2018. AVG has repeatedly asked for screen shots and said they are "looking into it" and "analyzing it" yet the problem persists. I'm getting the false positive at https://preferati.com/ even though I've added it to my "Exceptions" to exclude it from AVG shields and scans. Pretty pathetic that this problem hasn't been solved in over 1 year and all AVG can do is keep adding URLs to their whitelist.
hi,
I'm getting the same false positive URL:phishing, on chrome.exe.
Hello I have the same problem as the previous AVG users. I use a mid 2012 macbook pro. OS is Mojave and AVG version is 18.6.
Thank you ![]()
