First, could you let us know whether you suspect that your AVG Internet Security is causing this issue?
Second, did you receive any threat messages from AVG when you tried to access the program?
If yes, please share us a screenshot of that threat message, so that we can check and help you accordingly.

Thanks in advance!

I use a program called Editvoicepack which creates various mods to the terminology used in Flightsim2004…  After running a smartscan earlier today it has refused to work.  It may have nothing to do with the scan but it seems a likely place to start looking.  I also use Editvoicepack XL for later versions of Flight Sim which still works.

Hi Midhun,

It may be coincidence but the problem arose after I'd run the smartscan.  My last use of the Editvoicepack program was 25th August.
No AVG did not flag up any threat.  Trying to run EVP in admin mode or normal mode produces no response other than the Microsoft user account warning message for an unknown publisher in admin mode.  I've tried a virus scan on the folder where Editvoicepack is located which found nothing, and also my last 2 weeks of downloads which were all negative as well. It also occurs to me that AVG TuneUp might be responsible - it lists Editvoicepack as an "unnecessary" program.
