False positives of trojan horses?

Hi

So thanks for the recomendation, I sent off a file on tuesday, and was just wondering if you knew how long it takes normally for them to get back with a result - just I've heard nothing since.

Cheers

Yesterday an AVG scan came up with 54 trojan horse detections, mostly in system 32 files, but some in program, and x86. AVG was (and still is) unable to remove them, claiming that the data was invalid.
I ran a few other programs(malwarebytes and kaspersky TDSS killer) and neither found any the problems that AVG had.

Upon doing another AVG scan, there were twenty less trojans, and upon trying to remove them I was told that the location did not exist.

Upon another scan it is back up to 51, and they cannot  be removed as the data is invalid.

The virus type is listed as just being generic trojan.

I really am unsure about to how to proceed any further, so any and all advice would be much appreciated. I do  keep having a lingering thought it might be some kind fo false positive, but I've no credentials to back that up.

Cheers,
