False Positives? - OpenInventer related files and projects

I have tried the latest and greatest Firefox with all addons/extensions disabled. I have tried Internet Explorer 11. I do not have nor do I want to install the virus called chrome. I did try Vivaldi no extensions/add-ons installed. I have tried all three browsers using the ivt.dsll file and the ivt.zip file I created.

I disabled snort on my firewall and cleared the blocked IP's just before I tried to upload the file.
I have been using the false positive form.

All attempts return a "some error occurred with the form…" message.

What now?

Hi,

I haven't had a bunch of time lately to troubleshoot anything. Eitherway, I DID manage to get the file scanned today using virus total. Here is the link to the results:

VirusTotal

I will also attempted to upload the file to your ftp after posting this reply.

Thanks for everyones efforts I really appreciate it and want to get this resolved.

Hi,

New here. I recently started using AVG to scan my family's backup PC's. My wife and son are programmers and have had some false positives occur in relation to some of the software tools they use and some of their projects files.

My first scan results ere a bit overwhelming as I sa about 50-60 hit's in their prospective backup directories.

hat seemed like a good solution as to just add their backup folders to the exclusions list. I mean the hits were in 50 or 60 sub-directories and it looked to me like it would take months to add each individual file to the exclusions list so I added the whole directory.

Now, I realize their are thousands of files in these backup directories that were not targeted hits and are unprotected.

Is there a way to amend this situation, keeping in mind that each individual file that was hit should be left in that directory?

Thanks,.

J
Hi,

I have tried using the form uploading the naked ivt.dll file and also tried uploading the file zipped ivt.zip and everytime it tells me there is something wrong with the form and doesn't do it. I have checked my firewall and have no indication that it is causing this (no snort alerts or sites I recognize as AVG sites being blocked).
