Hello Fred,
I'm sorry to hear about this. Please open the AVG Internet Security installed in your computer and click on Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Change the application settings from "Auto Decide to "Allow". Once this is done, click on "Network Profile(Left side of the interface) and change the profile to "Private" if selected in "Public". Once this is done, please click on "System Rules" and enable all system rules. Please save all the settings and check if you can use your application with AVG protection enabled.
Best regards,
Alok.
I recently purchased wine base software from Almost Vertical Software in Victoria Australia. AVG refused to let me install the software, telling me it was infected with the WinHertz virus. On consulting the supplier he told me and sent me a notice from AVG dated Oct16 that an update would fix the problem. I currently have an updated version, as of the 28Jun17, and the problem has not been fixed. The only way I could get the software installed, and able to be used, is to turn off the computer protection part of the software.
Why is this still happening?
