Family Safety Lost Password

I have the same problem where I am unable to log in to Family Safety to change setting or add sites to the safe list.
When I try the suggestion above I get the following:
 
You have not been authorized to use Family Safety product. Please, contact our support (http://www.avg.com/gb-en/support).

I will certainly not be renewing again as I have had nothing but trouble with the "Family Safety" product since the last renewal. Its a shame as the AV product is superb and well supported.

Can you also send me unistall instructions via email?  I can not get the pc password and the avg account password to sync. In fact, following the 'manage preferences' button for avg family safety sends me to the info screen to buy the product, but it is in my products page as expiring Jan 2015… and is installed… any other thoughts, or just uninstall and reinstall at this point?

I have tried all of the above advice.

Hi I have the same issue, Having paid for a new subcription I tried to download a newer verion of the family safty but was asked to uninstall the older one. Being unable to access the family safty password  I tried to uninstalled it by clicking on a download link on one of your sites for 'uninsaling a besecure family safty', thinking it was one and the same. I can see the family safty still in the add/ remove window but it keeps asking for a admin Password. I would not mind so much but I have now lost internet access on this computer, the kids are going to kill me.

However that won't solve my problem.  That just changes my password on the website - not on my pc.  The issue is that I had lost my password and so when I tried to uninstall on the PC I couldn't.  So I tried to forefully remove it (to then reinstall) but the 'remover' that I got off the internet only partially removed it so I was left not being able to get to the internet at all.  The support team walked me through that so that I could use the internet but not the software.  I'd like to reinstall the software - but I can't because I'm back to the original issue of not having the password when it asks me when I try to uninstall.  That's the help I need - basically being able to completely remove the software so that I can reinstall.  Thanks!

This is in regards to AVG Family Safety:

We have lost our password and would simply like to completely uninstall and reinstall the product. I got wonderful help from the support team a couple of months back as an attempt to uninstall locked the computer - but now I'd really like to take advantage of the product again. The best way to do so would be to go through this reinstallation process. Please help!

Hi Dave,

So you are able to login int AVG Myaccount? If so are you able to open Family Safety settings (by clicking at Manage preferences) in AVG Myaccount.
