We plan to allow Family Sharing for more AVG subscriptions in the future.
In the meantime, you can share this article with your son through email & ask him to follow the steps mentioned below MAC to manually install, activate.

my son has the link that I sent for my account but he only has the option to download the PC version, but he needs the Mac version. How can he access that download?
