Ok, didn't realize they would get split up…thanks

Hi, I'm running Vista Basic. A few months ago I was getting the blue screen of death. So so I finally decided to do a complete factory restore. Since then, I have installed each program carefully having a restore point to see if it was a program issue. At this point I have several programs loaded in it and had no issues with blue screens back in february when I started it again. Now it is mid March and bam! the blue screens started again. This time the errors come up after I reboot the PC instead of showing me the error on the blue screen. It asks to check for a solution (that does nothing).  Before I had reformatted it the Blue Screen would always give me the message on it before I rebooted it. Now it is just a plain blue screen in limbo. Well anyway, I when I went to look up on supposedly MS web site one of the issues that was listed so it said download this to fix it. So I did and it ended up being another program to puchase that scans your registry called Registry Reviver. So I said what the hell…I'll let it scan. OK…THIS WAS JUST AFTER RUNNING THE AVG REGISTRY SCAN/RPAIR, This Registry Riviver programs tells me I have 209 problems in my registry that need to be fixed! OK…why don't I run fix on the RR program? Because I paid AVG to correct these problems and I don't want to have to pay another $40 for another program telling me that I should fix problems I shouldn't have according to AVG. AND PROBABLY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY BLUE SCREEN! Can anyone give me advice on this? Also wanted to add that restore will not go back to February to restore. The little check mark has disappeared asking to go back further. Anyone have a clue?
