File not scanned because it was excluded. But it isn't in my exclusions

Sorry for delay in replying. The file reported is

C:\Users\Madhu\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\GameExplorer{909BFAEB-244E-4858-89B4-6116B2AB698C}\PlayTasks\0\Play.lnk

As far as I can tell the link does not point to any excluded file or folder.

I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced in this case.
I request you to please follow the below steps and let us know.
1.Open your AVG program.
2.From the Options menu select Advanced settings.
3.In the left pane select Exceptions.
4. Please check in your exception list that the program is excluded. If it is excluded, please remove it from that list.

I have AVG 2015 Free. I don't see how running the scan again will help. AVG reported a file as excluded from the scan when it isn't, or at least it isn't excluded by me. If the file was a threat then my PC is at risk until AVG decides to scan it. If the file doesn't come up as not scanned this time it doesn't fix the error which made it appear excluded previously.

Wouldn't it be of more interest to know what file it thought was excluded?

I got some virus scan reports today. One was a genuine threat, the rest notifications of files not scanned due to being excluded. But one of these was a file in a folder I haven't excluded. Why is AVG saying it is excluded?

Hi,

If the program was listed in exceptions then there would not have been a problem to report. As I said in my initial report the program was not excluded by me, Therefore it is not in the list of exclusions I can see.
