Sorry for jumping in on this conversation but I am having exactly the same issue. I have had popups every few seconds and managed to quarantine and delete all but 63 files. It won't let me dlete those 63. I've uploaded the file to the server as you suggested. Here's a screen grab showing the message that the files can't be deleted.
Anyone know how to get this pop up to go away? I've scanned my computer over and over and this will not stop. PLEASE help me.

We didn't get the screenshot.
However, we are aware of this ongoing threat alert on Mac OS. We request you to upload the threat detected file to our AVG Server to analyse the issue and to resolve it.
Please use this link ( https://www.avg.com/en-gb/false-positive-file-form ) to upload the file to our AVG server. Once you upload the file to our server our developers will analyse the issue and will let you know if it is a false positive or not.

LR, please try the false positive website link in a different browser and check if you could manage to upload it.
Since this is a false positve and my AVG says it's up-to-date, is it okay to delete the 103 quarantine files?
Okay I tried to upload the MRT file to that link provided for the false positive file and the link doesn't work.
Now what?
I tried to initially upload this and it would not give me the option to do a screenshot upload, only a website upload.

I started getting this about 10 minutes ago, and a file is added every few seconds. I'm not aware of installing any new software.

Well, that didn't work. The 103 quarantined files will not restore or delete.
