We can certainly take a look into this. Could you share a screenshot of the AVG User interface (which shows File shield disabled) and also a screenshot of the error message (there seems to be a problem) to proceed further?

The File Shield has been turned off, and can't be turned on.
With a message saying "we're sorry. There seems to be a problem on our side. We will fix it as soon as possible".
This has been 4 weeks now, can this be sorted??

The the inactive components issue might be because of old/previous AVG traces. In this case, please click here > scroll down and follow the further recommendations to remove the AVG traces from your computer.
After that, follow the instruction to download/install AVG Antivirus for your mac.
