Hi, Aravindh:

Thanks for the instruction.
Follow your instruction, I had ran AVG Remover tool and selected option "Run anyway".  After it completed, I restarted as prompted.  After restart, the same problem persists, AVG still shows in TaskManager (see below screenshot) and open File Explorer continues to crash.  Please advise.

Hi,

I'm using Windows 10, just download Antivirus_Free_1892.exe tried to install AVG Free last night.  After install, FileExplorer stopped to work.  When I tried to open FileExplorer, it opens and then the window redraws, and FileExplorer disappears.

Researched AVG Support Community, downloaded and run AVG Remover Tool, still same problem.  I still see AVG Antivirus and other AVG processes in Task Manager, and "End Task" on any of the AVG processes doesn't work.

How can I remove AVG cleanly and get FileExplorer to work, please advise.

Hello Xiaocun,
Thank you for the information. On checking with your screenshot we could see that you have pre-installed AVG traces. No need to worry, in this case we would request you to try once to remove previously installed AVG program traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Protection free.
Note:If you have installed any other Antivirus  programs like AVAST, NORTON, MCAFEE or KASPERSKY, Please uninstall it first to avoid conflicts when installing AVG.
Once you have uninstalled from your system, try to follow the steps which mentioned below.

2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.

Following the instruction:

Hi, Akash:

Following your instruction, I had downloaded and run AVG_Clear.  It recommended me to run it in Safe Mode.  Following the instruction, I had booted into Safe Mode, but when I run AVG_Clear, I got the message: The stub cannot run installer/updater executable 'C:\Users\xxu\AppData\Local\Temp_av_inp.tm~a01204\instup.exe' (code 0x10b).
Should I try run AVG_Clear not in Safe Mode even it says that is not recommended?  Please advise.

Xiaocun, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
