Hi Richard,
Thank you for your kind post and for your support of AVG products. It is customers like you that are helping to make AVG a household name.
Thank you for choosing an AVG solution for your computer.
Unfortunately, AVG for Windows 10 Mobile is not available yet.
Thank you!
I was expecting a reply to a complaint I'd made, then received an email with the subject 'Complaint' and in the body my full name & an address I know. It had a ZIP attachment and included a Password to this file.
As it had passed an AVG Shell Extension scan I opened the file. I found a Word Document and again, AVG found no issue. After the Password was entered, it opened in Protected View. No text was displayed, but given the MSKI, I opened it for editing. No text was displayed, but I was required to enable Macros; still no text.
AVG then reported "FileRepMalware" was detected; it could not be repaired but stopped when blocked. At the same time a C:\Windows\System32\CMD.exe window opened and I believe IDP.Generic attempted to install, but according to the TCP activity, was unable to make a connection.
A rather sophisticated attack, for which I'm unable to find any explanation?
I'm pleased AVG did it's job on Windows 10, but wonder when "Any Device" will make my Windows 10 Mobile safe?!
