Hi, thanks for that but it didn't work. None of these actually matched CryptOLOcker. I tried several of them just in hope it might work. The file name stays exactly the same with ".enc" at the end. My screen saver is all white background, with my desktop and shortcuts in in place. A red box at top of screen has "All your valuable date is now encrypted by CryptoLocker. Install TOR browser and visit our website to get solution" Then follows a page full of instructions underneath, with the warning that I have to pay for retrieval. I have now backed up all encrypted files to USB stick. If I do a FACTORY RESTORE will that solve the problem for now?
I thought I had full protection from AVG. Last week a virus "CryptOLOcker" encrypted all my files. I refuse to pay to resolve this problem as I fear it may well take over my whole pc. Please help. Catherine
Hi, I have done a RESTORE" without deleting files. I now get a message "403 forbidden" when I try to log onto Telstra Webmail. Fortunately I can access this on my mobile. I think I need someone more tech savvy than me. I am deaf, so phone conversation is difficult. Thank you and I will keep you informed.
I am getting my pc checked by IT guy today, will follow the instruction you emailed, thank you. Will let you know progress tomorrow. I have done several AVG scan and they do not detct a problem at all.

Thank you for informing that you have done the restore of the PC without deleting the files.
There should be some issue with the Telstra webmail settings, please check for the email settings and let us know if you face any issues.
Also perform a whole computer scan using AVG program.
