Files not identified as Virus anymore!

Have just gotten them again. I have to do a manual scan of this file.

  It is identified as :
Win32:BitCoinMiner-IW[Trj]
and
Win32:Cryptominer-z[Trj]

But AVG does not detect them by itself.

Hi Kurt,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Please let us know the version of AVG that didn't detect the mentioned file (Open AVG - Menu - About)
Also, let us know the scans that you've run using AVG.

The screendump above is from the 24th.
And the only reason I have that is because I chose to quarantine the fle rather than deleting it.

Hello…
Old versions of AVG has succesfully identitied the file photo.scr as a virus.
But the new version of AVG does not…

Photo.scr IS a known cryptocurrency miner and potentially harmfull.
So why does the new version of AVG not do a folde scan which identifies the file, when opening the folder.

Thank you, Kurt.
Please open AVG Internet Security, click Menu -> Settings -> General -> Update.
Click 'Check for updates' under Virus definitions to make sure the latest virus definitions are installed in your AVG.
Then try to scan the file.

Sure… I quarentined the files, so I can send you a screenshot of the quarantine log.

But that wont show you much… It will only give you the same file name I have provided in previous message today.

I have forwarded the file for analyse via AVG, so you might find it there.

Would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of the scan result that shows the entire path of the file for better clarity?

Which email can I send my screenshot to?

Quarantine view of Photo.scr

Hello…
Previous version did an automated scan of a folde when I opened it, and then automatically detected the file.
I havent seen that function in action since AVG evolved around 2012 -2014 ísh… So it has been a couple of years.
