Files not showing in Quarantine

Hello David,

Did you get message from AVG that those threats are moved to quarantine or did you select the option to move it to quarantine?
Open AVG Antivirus free, click on "Menu–>About" and provide the screenshot of version window here.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

AVG Antivirus Free quarantined some of my files. However nothing shows in the quarantine panel in AVG. It just says "No nasty files here". There are 22 files in C:$AV_AVG$VAULT however. How can I get them to show up in Quarantine?

I got a message that it failed to move a file to quarantine. Then the thing I had recently installed was not working and I noticed that several files were missing. I looked up some info about where quarantined files are stored and saw 22 files had been neewly created in C:$AV_AVG$VAULT.

AVG about

David, AVG have only detected only one file as threat, since it couldn't move it to the quarantine it has removed the file and kept it under vault.

That is the reason why you could see the file under C:$AV_AVG$VAULT file path.

Since you have added the file path to the exception, you have managed to install it successfully. In case if this is a trusted file then you can submit the file sample for analysis to whitelist under AVG.

Use this link https://www.avg.com/en-ww/whitelist-program-application to submit the file for analysis.

Thank you for the information.
If it says as failed to move to quarantine, then the files aren't moved to it.
The entries that you found in  C:$AV_AVG$VAULT might be different too.
However, we request you to remove the application that you recently installed.
Start the installation of the application and see whether you get threat detection from AVG.
If yes, take the screenshot of the popup by clicking on "see details" on the threat detection and send it here.
