Could you please let us know how you suspect that there is a virus on your device? have you get any threat pop up from AVG recently?
I request you to try the following steps below and check again:
Right-click the Windows Start button and select Apps and Features from the menu that appears. Click AVG Internet Security, and select Uninstall twice. If prompted by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes. When the AVG Setup window appears, click Repair.
