Please try enabling app permission for AVG Cleaner from your device settings and check with the program. Follow the below steps to enable app permission.
Open your phone Settings –> click Apps and Notification –> Locate and click AVG Cleaner –> select Permissions and enable all option.

Could you provide the set of screenshots (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Create-screenshot&supportType=home) that shows the tips for "Find Unused Apps" and the grant permission message?

Thankyou for the response. I forgot tio mention that I am usig AVG Cleaner on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Android Tablet 10.1" Therefore the steps/directions provide don't seem to work. I have tried enabling permission from within the android sttins to no avail. Therefore would it be possible for you you to provide step by step instructions for the android tablet please.

Thanks - don't know what's happened but I can't replicate the screens, but I was able to grant permission to both Cleaner & Antivirus somehow and it appears to have worked, go figure! Anyhow I will monitor the processes over the the next few days. Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.
