Hi again,
Following up on this, still have not been able to use Firefox. I'm not sure where we left things off - can one of the technicians please pick up the thread to see if I have any more options? Many thanks for your work on this!
Hi,
I received this email on 2/20 ( see below) and replied to it but then received a no-reply response. It is unclear if you received my response, so I am trying here:
Thanks for this. The certificate already exists in Firefox. Should I delete what is there and then import as directed?

Original question:
Hi,
AVG popped up to do a 'deep scan', and since then I have been unable to use Firefox: YOUR CONNECTION IS NOT SECURE. The owner of …has not configured their website properly…
No websites work. I do hope you can help me.

Hello Bonnie and Tony,
I understand your concern on this recent update from AVG causing browsers to https sites. Please follow the below steps and check if that fixes the issue.
Firstly, it is necessary to obtain a copy of the certificate.
This can be found with Keychain Access with Keychain "login" and category "Certificates". Search for "avg". You should find "AVG trusted CA". Select it and export it from the menu bar under "File" then "Export Items…". Save it somewhere accessible.
Next, the certificate needs to be added to Firefox's certificate manager.
Open Firefox's Preferences > Privacy & Security tab. Scroll down to Security > Certificates. Open "View Certificates…". Click on "Authorities" then "Import…". Import "AVG trusted CA" and trust it to "identify websites".
You can select "identify mail users" if you want.
Hello Maureen,
Yes, please delete that and restart your device.
Add the certificates to the Firefox and check the status.

Hello Maureen,
The "Firefox" issues on AVG interface issue was fixed in the recently released 18.2 version. May I know your Mac OS version and AVG Antivirus Version to assist you further. To find out the version, you can follow user manual, part 4.3. Menu in the task bar http://files-download.avg.com/doc/AVG_AntiVirus_for_Mac/avg_avm_uma_en_ltst_03.pdf .
Best regards,
Alok.
