Hello Kevin,
We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused. In order to assist you better, please let us know the version of your AVG program and Firefox installed on your device. Thank you for understanding. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
OK, so latest rounds of updates to both AVG Internet Security (paid for) and Firefox see the browser taking more than a minute to actually open. Chrome and Edge open fine in a count of a few seconds but why do we keep having this problem with AVG and Firefox together?
Plenty of previous threads talk about AVG and Firefox needing to scan the same files before opening so effectively Firefox has to wait until AVG is finished with them… this is not really acceptable as the issue has been going on for several years and seems to be exacerbated with updates. In a nutshell, I'm more loyal to Firefox than I am AVG so can someone (anyone) just fix the damn AVG suite so that it can work properly with Firefox users?!?
Kevin,
Thank you for your information, I would like to inform you that AVG won't scan the browsers you have installed. We would suggest you to clear the temp files or you can try to reinstall your Firefox , please make a backup of your bookmarks etc., Please feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you.
Hi Ranjani and thanks.
Firefox has been refreshed - no difference. Which temp files did you mean exactly as Windows 10 does seem to have rather a lot of temp folders to wade through and I don't want to clear the wrong ones!
Cheers, Kevin.

Hello Kevin,
We are sorry to know the issue persists, you can delete all the temporary files of from your computer. Open the run window in your computer and type as "temp", this will open the temporary files from C drive, please remove all the temp files and check restart the computer and check if the Firefox works faster.
Thank you
