Firewall after recent update to AVG internet security

After recent update to AVG, I'm getting a repeated phone message today that a device outside the USA has shut off the windows firewall, and network support is concerned and that I should not do important personal activities and call a number to help fix it. I believe that it is a scam, but I've received it 5 times so far this afternoon.
