Firewall blocking all internet access via browser

All sorted. Many thanks for your help.

The AVG firewall is blocking all internet access through a browser and in order to gain internet access I have had to disable it. I suspect that the best solution would be to uninstall AVG and reinstall it with a clean install. If so how do I deactivate the licence before removal so that I can reactivate it when renewed?

Hello Ian. This is to keep you informed that once the uninstallation is done the license will be removed and once you are done with the reinstallation please reactivate the program using the same license number.  I would request you to run AVG remover tool based on your OS (32-bit or 64-bit) to completely remove AVG. To determine whether your OS is a 32-bit or 64-bit, please click on this link. http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/827218

To download AVG Remover tool for 32-bit: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x86_2015_5501.exe
To download AVG Remover tool for 64-bit: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x64_2015_5501.exe

Once done with the uninstallation, please have a look at this article http://bit.ly/1bsCjtC to reinstall the AVG. Please feel free to contact us back for any further assistance.
