Hello Kent,
Thank you for creating your own post.
Kindly select the 'Internet Connection Sharing Mode' under the firewall settings and let us know if the issue persists.
i have changed network profile from private to public (then turned firewall back on, web pages wouldnt load and steam went offline) with no change, the firewall is still blocking access as when i turned it off i could load web pages and steam is connected again

i too am having this problem, last friday my computer reset (windows update) and updated AVG but then nothing on my desktop was connecting to the internet or even my home network (i couldnt even connect to my router) there was zero network activity. i thought it was the windows update as it had installed Edge (to my great disgust). my computer could get the IP address from the router but nothing after that.it took me a day to think it may have been the firewall (i had originally thought it was my router) so when i turned off the firewall everything could connect.
so yes the enhanced firewall is blocking internet access in my case too

Hi Kent,
We're glad to look into this & help you. This isn't the usual behavior of AVG Firewall.
Please try to change the network profile to private or public & check.
To do so, follow the steps that are mentioned below 'Define network profiles' in this article. If issue persists, write back to us in your own post. This will reveal the email address registered with AVG to us & help us to provide you the appropriate support channel to sort this in a timely manner.
Note : It isn't recommended to share the account info over this post.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!
