I note AVG promised in FEBRUARY to address the inability of this new version to block programs in the firewall.   Having just been cursed with this new version in JUNE and finding nothing has been done, I am wondering if this is connected with government pressure to allow computer penetration - which might otherwise be hindered by blocking certain programs.
I am going to look at Kaspersky.
