My AVG Firewall blocks all Internet connections. I cannot use the browser or other applications (not even AVG) while the Firewall is enabled. If I disable it, it works fine. This is a sudden issue. The computer worked perfectly fine yesterday. I turned it off, went to bed, went to work this morning, and now this evening it just doesn't work. I did not run any updates in the meantime (though I disabled the firewall and now attempted to).
It would be nice if AVG support would just post the fixes for this problem in the threads that appear through internet searching instead of saying that they email it to people. Why not just share the fix instead of making users jump through hoops?

The exact same thing happened to me. Today also all of a sudden out of the blue… I've been going nuts all day trying to fix it. I also found disabling the firewall fixed it.
