Firewall Configuration "AVG Internet Security 2016"

Hello B,
We understand that you want help in configuring the firewall to allow specific program to get connected to Internet. We do have that option in AVG Internet Security You can click on this link for the steps to allow specific programs through firewall http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Allow-application-in-AVG-Firewall. If you still have any query, you can always contact us.
Thank you.

Hello,

is it possible to configure the Firewall function in so far that I can deny Internet access to special programs on my computer? If not, is there another feature that makes this possible? At the moment I use the free tool "ZoneAlarm" and i can decide by each program that wants to access the Internet if I allow or deny.

Thank you very much for answers.

Kind regards

Bernd

Hello B,
We apologize for that.
There is no other feature in AVG to block the other application from accessing internet other then AVG Firewall. The AVG Firewall is best to block the unwanted applications from accessing the Internet.
Thank you.

Hello Karthikeyan,

thank`s for the quick response.

Because of I have no account (have not bought AVG at this time), I can not see the pictures at the description. But I understand, that it is possible to allow programs to access the internet by using the AVG-Firewall.
But, is it possible to deny specific programs to access the internet?

And, could you please give me an answer to my second question:
My experience has shown that some security Software uses one special port to communicate constantly with the security-server of the Software-Provider (I ran a online protscan and the result was one open port). But I think it is important, that all ports are closed or stealth while surfing in the Internet. Is there any Port open when I use AVG Internet Security?

Thank you very much and kind regards,

Bernd
