Hello Deborah,
May I know how you narrowed this down to AVG? Did you disable AVG firewall and check if the issue is resolved? If not, please disable it now and check. Open AVG Internet Security, click on Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall and toggle the on/off button.
Hi all.
I've just been upgraded to Internet Security Unlimited and now the firewall is blocking Windows store.
I can't find anywhere on the new interface to configure firewall options.
Help!
Hello Deborah,

It's definitely AVG, as I had no problems before the upgrade. I followed your instructions and disabled the firewall for 10 minutes and Microsoft Store worked fine. I'm not very techy, but Windows connections settings said the firewall is "Vendor software control AVG". Also I did not receive any notification of the upgrade prior to its auto install, which I thought was a bit odd. There are a couple of other programs that are not getting updates since this install, so I will have to go through Settings to make sure everyhing is working properly now.
On the plus side, the new interface is pretty slick and I like it, just have to get used to using it now.
Thank you for the confirmation, Deborah.
I request you to change some of the settings in AVG Internet Security and check whether the issue persists.
1) Please open the AVG Internet Security dashboard and click on "Menu–>Settings–>Components"
2) To the right of "Policies" scroll down to click on "System Rules"
3) Enable the option for "Windows file sharing and printing", "allow remote desktop connection" and the last entry "Enable stealth mode"
4) Below policies, click on "Network Profiles", to the right click on the network connection and change the profile to "Private" if it is set to "Public".
Keep us informed about the status.
