Firewall Exceptions not functioning correctly

I have installed MSI Afterburner remote server to monitor my rig without having to tab out or using a dual monitor setup. I added the program through the advanced settings, put the whole folder on exceptions list and that didn't work, so i added each file individually to exceptions with no avail.If i disable the firewall the app works perfectly with no problems, but i don't want to do that considering i would be leaving the app open on my pc and still using all other functions with the risk of getting a virus.

Thats the thing… the program isn't giving an error message it just adds the exception like normal but when i run the afterburner remote server on my phone it says it can't connect. That only happens when the firewall is on (even with exception in place.) Whenever i turn firewall off it connects and functions correctly. User-added image

Could you please confirm whether you have received any blocking popup's from the AVG program and are you trying to connect your phone to the PC and that's where you are facing the issues with the AVG Firewall?

  1. Once uninstalled download the installation file using the link : http://www.avg.com/download to reinstall your AVG program.
    5. Run the downloaded file to start the installation process.
    6. Follow the instructions on your screen.  
    7. Complete the installation and restart your computer.
