I would also request you to try reinstalling the program with a remover tool. based on your OS (32-bit or 64-bit) to completely remove AVG and then re install. I am really confused by our Firewall Protection error that keeps coming up.
I have tried to resetting to default but does nothing. I have tried to do the following as well - but has not solved the issue;
- Open menu Start -> (Settings) -> Control Panel.
- Double-click on Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center.
- Click on Change adapter setting in the left pane.
- Right-click on the connection you are using and select Properties.
- Under This connection uses the following items un-tick AVG network filter driver.
- Click OK to store the changes.
- Once more right-click on Local area connections -> select Properties.
- Tick the AVG network filter driver and click OK.
- Restart your computer.
- If the problem persists, please go to the next step.
If the issue is still not resolved, repair the AVG installation:
- Download the latest AVG installation package.
- Run the file and select Repair installation
