Firewall not starting; File & Print sharing error: WIN 10

Firewall cannot start error comminicating with driver Windows 10.

This is what I would consider a critical failing of the software.


Large Windows 10 update last night and now the firewall is not working; at a loss as it was working previously.

Pressing the button to change does nothing and the software advice is contact AVG technical support - so here I am!!

Am a paying customer for the last 10yrs and this incarnation of AVG is so far terrible!!

Hi Aravind,
I did some more interrogation of the fault last night and rooted it down to the issue that a driver for the AVG firewall must have been removed during the Windows10 update.
Today I did a repair install and all seems to be working again.
The "change" buttons on the firewall tab GUI did nothing yesterday whereas today after the repair, pressing them does change the status.
Getting used to Win10 and a new GUI for AVG was testing my patience last night.
