Firewall not turning on

We will certainly look into this and help you.
This should be just an issue with the program interface and shouldn't be caused by malware
Please reset AVG Internet Security settings and check with the program.
Follow the below steps to reset the program settings.
Open AVG Internet Security –> click Menu –>select Settings –> click Troubleshooting –> Scroll down to the “Reset All Settings” section and click on “Reset to Default“ –> Reboot the computer.
Keep us posted.

AVG firewall turned off and when I try to turn on I receive a message saying "enhanced firewall not available".  I did have a virus definition download that came through on 1 April, so I suspect AVG has been hacked or prone to some 1st April virus? I have a paid subscription .
