Hello Dave,
I certainly understand your concern. For your information, AVG Firewall may automatically block one of your applications from accessing the Internet or even the network connection. This typically happens for applications that are not recognized by AVG Firewall. So that is the reason we have the feature to allow applications through AVG Firewall. As you mentioned in the description that you have already tried allowing this application. So if you have any other issue regarding this, please do let us know and we will be happy to resolve it for you. Thank you.
Hi All,
I hvae a NAS linkstation connected to my computer (desktop) via a netrwork cable and netgear switch. If I disable the firewall, I can see my NAS drive and all is good. As soon as I activate the firewall (automatic mode or Interactive mode) I loose the connection. I have looked in the applications list and the NAS drive is there and set to allow access. Now I am at a loss as to why the firewall is blocking the access. Any help greatly appreciated.
Dave
