We're glad to clarify this for you.
From your description, it seems that you're concerned about the smart scan results of AVG Internet Security, notifying the possible performance/privacy issues detected on your computer. 
To ensure this, share us the screenshot of the scan result. 
However, if that is the case, then we'd like to clarify that you may need to purchase AVG TuneUp license separately & activate it to fix the detected performance issues. Reason being, AVG TuneUp (optimization tool) isn't included in AVG Internet Security (protection program).
Moreover, if you proceed to click on 'Fix' the performance issues, you'll get a prompt to subscribe AVG TuneUp. Depending on your preference, you can either proceed to subscribe through the prompt or ignore by clicking on 'Skip for now' in the scan results.

Hi all
I just installed AVG Internet Security after coming from Kaspersky. I had AVG before years back.
What I now found agtzer first scan is, that under the performance Issues found, I can either choose to fix all or nothing…
I might agree to remove junk, but not putting apps to sleep. But I am not given a more granular choice.

  1. I want to be able to select whoch Areas to fix and which to skip
  2. I want to be able to even select, which programs to put to sleep as the list is long and why would I want to put asleep DRIVE, Office, Backup apps, OneDrive etc....I must use them!
Using this feazure, so far, is rather unusable to me and I was not the only one
