So now here it is November 2016 and I have the same issue. Why would AVG intrude with a confusing popup that does not identify itself as being from AVG and is impossible to get rid of?
Alan, thank you for your response. I have spent much time trying to get rid of this label. It has also caused me a great deal of annoyance because each time open my computer I am reminded that there is something I have to deal with and have not the slightest idea how!

I have encountered exactly the same problem and am looking for an answer if anyone has found one. Thanks.
In the last two days I have had a desktop label saying "Fix common PC problems
Reduce problems with your printer, scanner, sound or network connection." I cannot find out how I can get rid of it. I have tried several scans with avg and one with malwarebytes but it still pops up. Can you help please.

Hi Joan, extremely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We have fixed this issue and you wont be receiving the pop up messages anymore. If you still receive any pop up messages regarding AVG, I request you to move your mouse pointer towards the top right corner of the Pop up. You will be able to close it by clicking on that close option present there. Thanks.
