Hi David, I am sorry to hear that, please try these steps in your AVG Internet security paid version,
Go to  options>advance settings > click appearance on left side >on right panel untick display system tray notifications > and click OK

i started getting the popup,"fix computer problems" and discovered it was linked to the AVGUI process…  the popup went away when i stopped it. of course the process keeps restarting so the popup keeps coming back. I have updated avg but the popup continues.

David, The pop-up shown in this link (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000D4YMAA0) is not from AVG.
