Hi, Thank you for your reply. I've managed to fix the problem by re-installing Adobe Flashplayer. I think the problem was that AVG actually deleted the FLASHPLAYERINSTALLER.EXE file. Please see attached screen dump of the details page from the virus vault. The status of the file is shows deleted.
Hi,
Two years after the above conversation the same thing is happening again - why?
I made an exception of the file and got the message back back that it would no longer be analysed:
Hi, I'm not very technical & after receiving a warning from AVG, I allowed AVG to remove the following file C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\FLASHPLAYERINSTALLER.EXE & I think AVG has deleted the file. Now I can't play videos.
I've tried to Restore this from the virus vault, but even when I select "Yes" in the User Account Control dialogue box, the file cannot be rerstored & Access is "Denied" shows in the Notifications area of the AVG Virus Vault. As per screen dump below.
Please can anyone help?
Thank you
Chrissie
Hello Raitis,
We will look into this for you.
Please click 'See details' option in the bottom-right corner of the threat detection window and send us the screenshot.
It would be better to assist, if you could reach us through own posts. So, we can validate your account details and assist further.
Thank you.
