Forbidding entry is censorship

A warning on the instruction page to save bookmarks before uninstalling would have been nice, 4 months of work is gone and is now unrecoverable. Most people are not going to realize this as I didn't because I assumed that since you copied all bookmarks when you put the secured browser on my system that you would have saved them back to the original browser. I'm crushed at the loss of all my work over the winter and that I wasn't warned to copy bookmarks before removing the browser, but it did solve all issues I was having, so, thank you.

The secure browser was great for handling popups and threats but it got too aggressive and started refusing me entry into sites, then sites I pay for, and the backend of my website editor. Removing solved these issues.

hello Avinash, removing did not solve all issues, I'm still having trouble getting into sights; though now I am able to get access off and on for some sites as I persist. As for checking the same blocking issue as the one I sent the snapshot of, no I can't as I've lost the bookmark for the page and don't remember the name of the sight. I am still looking for it and will update you if/when I come across it again. I can however get into the backend of my website again, and Gaia, which you also blocked me out of and I pay for that account. Sorry I am not more help at this point, but it will take time to update my lost bookmarks. thanks

I am using a free version of AVG since my subscrption ended. How do I disable without removing? I have rebooted my computer and it did not help. I tried disabling the ad blocker and did not help either. The snapshot shows fault is AVG blocking. Several months ago there was an upgrade to my AVG (AVG Secure Browser) which won't allow me access to many of the sites I used to visit with Chrome browser and the problem is growing into other sites. I can gain access to some sites through other browsers but not all of them since this upgrade.

How do I get back access to sites I have been visiting for years?  All of a sudden AVG has blocked me from several sites saying they have aborted connection. I've tried turning off the ad blocker but that did nothing.
I want to know how to get around this. Thank you.

Hello Dawn.
We'll certainly look into this. Which AVG product are you using and how did you narrow down the issue to AVG? Did you disable AVG protection temporarily and the issue was resolved?

Holly, please accept my apologies with regards to the AVG software not living up to your expectations.
AVG carefully monitors the quality of our products and the service we provide, therefore all feedback from our customers is important to us.

Thank you for the screenshot. We'd request o uninstall AVG Secure Browser as per the steps in this link.

Dawn, I noticed the same: forbidden access to 3 sites I used a lot (I get the same alert that your screenshot shows). When I tried to list the URLs as "Exceptions" from being scanned/blocked, it did not help. I was told to go through the steps I had already completed 2x, or to report it as a false positive. Reporting it doesn't fix it today, if ever. I'm sad.

Can any of you kind support members fast track this up the chain of command and get a quick fix? Do the "bosses" see how many people are in this forum requesting refunds and vowing not to renew? I'm sure that support staff here are doing everything allowed; the buck has to stop somewhere though, no offense! And have a great evening, everyone!
